What Is A Propane Tank Lease?

A look at how they work

Buying a propane tank is not your only option if you are looking to add one to your North Central Texas property. You can actually lease a propane tank and Yellow Rose Propane can help you do so!

Why lease a propane tank

It will probably come as no surprise that buying and owning a propane tank is a big investment both financially and in terms of responsibility. There are all sorts of costly fees that you have to pay upfront, including a fee for installation. Then on top of that, at one point or another, you are going to have to spend money on maintenance and repairs.

When you lease a propane tank you don’t have to worry about any of that. In fact, when you lease a propane tank from Yellow Rose Propane we automatically handle the installation in addition to all the repairs and maintenance.

Leasing a propane tank from us could not be easier – we charge a reasonable annual fee ($200) and automatically enroll our customers in our wireless propane tank monitoring services, AutoFill automatic deliveries and AutoPay.

Customers can lease a small tank (120 gallons) from Yellow Rose Propane or a larger tank (1,000 gallons) or something in between. Whatever size you need and whatever your propane needs are, we’ve got you covered. We even offer both underground and aboveground installation.

Your options when it comes to propane tank size

If you decide to lease a propane tank from Yellow Rose Propane we will work with you to figure out the size that will work best for you and your home. We will consider the size of your home, what you are using propane for, how many propane appliances you plan on having in your home and how old those appliances are to determine exactly what size tank you need.

Generally, residential propane tanks are:

• 20-pounds to 100-pounds: These are propane cylinders that are mostly used for RVs, portable heaters, stoves and grills.
• 100-pounds to 200-pounds: As long as your appliances are on the smaller side and you aren’t using propane for home heating purposes, you can get away with a tank this size.
• 325-gallons to 500-gallons: If you use propane to heat your home on top of using the fuel to power more than one appliance, a tank in this size range is what’s recommended.
• 1,000-gallon tanks: Tanks this large are usually only used within commercial industries or by homeowners who store propane for heating purposes and to power backup generators.

The benefits of propane

Both homeowners and business owners choose to install a propane tank and use propane because of how advantageous the fuel is. Here is a look at some of its many benefits:

• It is versatile and can be used to power and fuel so many different appliances
• It is efficient, which helps make it incredibly cost-effective
• It is non-toxic and clean burning, which makes it environmentally friendly
• It doesn’t need electricity or power grids to work so you can count on your propane-powered appliances still functioning even if there is a blackout
• It is accessible and easy to find
